Position Summary:


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Automotive Systems Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in systems engineering principles and hands-on experience in the automotive domain. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for defining, analyzing, and validating complex automotive systems to meet performance, safety, and compliance requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


• Define system-level requirements, architecture, and interfaces for automotive systems (e.g., infotainment, body electronics, etc).

• Perform requirements decomposition and allocation to subsystems and components.

• Lead system integration activities and ensure proper interaction between hardware and software components.

• Develop and maintain system documentation, including requirement specifications, interface definitions, and design descriptions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, software, validation, and manufacturing teams.

• Conduct FMEA, functional safety (ISO 26262), and reliability analyses as required.

• Participate in system validation and verification planning, including test case development and execution.

• Support change management, traceability, and impact analysis throughout the product lifecycle using tools like DOORS, or similar.

• Stay current with industry trends, regulatory standards, and emerging technologies in the automotive domain.


Required Qualifications:


• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering or a closely related discipline.

• Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle (V-Model, ASPICE, etc.).

• Experience with requirements management tools

• Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).

• Knowledge of automotive standards such as ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and ASPICE.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:


• Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) using SysML.

• Working knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture.

• Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and vehicle testing.

• Previous experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
